Platform II Dome Lens

This multi-purpose LED fixture kit provides a Type V distribution with a main beam of 55 degrees vertical. This combination is suited for intersection, garage, low-bay and other general lighting applications. This assembly is IP66 rated. The LEDs are mounted 6-12” away from the optical surface which provides exceptional hiding power

Components

Cast Aluminum Heat Sink

This one-piece casting design can effectively dissipate up to 100W in a 40ºC ambient temperature with an appropriate LED module. The cast aluminum heat sink is offered either raw or powder coated white. There are two suggested LED Board mounting options. To achieve a wide, Parking Garage distribution, an LED board may be mounted to the horizontal inside top surface.

To achieve a wide, Parking Garage distribution, there are 12 internal LED board mounting surfaces which are canted 35 degrees from vertical. A new board mounting feature allows a variety of different board shapes and sizes without the need for any drilling or tapping. Boards may effectively be mounted on 4, 6, 8, 9 or 12 faces.

Dome Lens Option

The acrylic prismatic Dome lens provides exceptional LED hiding and an excellent light distribution. Lumieo® acrylic and polycarbonate versions are optional.

Lens Clips

These stamped stainless steel lens retaining clips are specifically designed to retain LexaLite® Platform Series lenses. The wide face spreads the compression load over a large surface area, reducing stress. The clips rely on a gasket being in place to provide modest pressure against the flange. The clips will seat against a positive stop in the back of the mounting screw hole to avoid excessive pressure being applied to the lenses.

Lens Gasket

A.L.P. recommends a medium compression foamed silicone gasket to provide an IP66 seal. Foamed silicone provides long life, retention of compression properties, and reduced out-gassing. A.L.P. urges customers to avoid EPDM gaskets due to out-gassing and its potential effects on both lenses and LEDs.
